Professional Experience

Lisa obtained both a BS and MS in civil engineering from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) with a focus in environmental engineering. As an engineer, her projects included concrete inspection, soil and groundwater assessment and remediation, grant applications, public information meetings, water treatment, sustainable design, regulatory legal negotiations, and urban redevelopment in both the public and private sectors.

After nearly two decades of engineering, Lisa resigned from the field to become as full-time caregiver for her mother as well as her children. Following the complicated grief associated with losing her mother to COVID-19 early in the pandemic, Lisa took a position with CWRU’s Department of Sociology. There, she updated their website, built their social media presence, and assisted with the administrative needs of the department.

In 2022, Lisa and her husband, Justin, opened Beachcliff Behavioral Health, a behavioral health clinic in Rocky River. Lisa is the practice manager.

In addition to a technical understanding, Lisa’s work experience has equipped her with the skills necessary to evaluate the legal and financial aspects of the projects that come before city council. Her breadth of knowledge would be a useful addition Rocky River’s City Council.
